PuertaSolana was built in 2007, in an architectural style that respects its surroundings and the regional architecture. The house is situated in the village of Solana de Cabañas, at the foot of the Villuercas mountain range.
Surrounded by nature, PuertaSolana offers peace and tranquillity, along with all modern standards of comfort.
Beautiful views to the mountains and valleys, the sounds of the native fauna, it is all here ... Enjoy!
The nature around Solana is some of the richest and best conserved in Spain. Situated on the edge of the Villuercas-Ibores bird protection area you can't miss seeing the Griffon Vultures or, in autumn, the Cranes passing by on their way to warmer areas.
Solana is a small village with only 80 inhabitants. The church of San Miguel Arcángel (XVI century) is a typical example of masonry construction. Nearby the paintings in the cave of the 'Cancho del Reloj' show that the area has been inhabited since prehistory. Not far from Solana Spain's most important artefact from the Bronze Age was found; the 'Estela del Guerrero'.
